About the Role
Reports To:
School Relations Specialist
External Relationships: Students, Parents, Guardians, Teachers, Administrators
Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to provide mental and behavioral health services in the school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients and their families. Maintain confidentiality regarding treatment.
- Diagnose, assess and treat mental and behavioral health disorders utilizing best practices.
- Create individualized treatment plans according to student’s need.
- Involve and advise patient family members as appropriate for continuity of care.
- Maintain thorough records of student meetings and progress. - Ability to balance multiple demands and prioritize activities to meet deadlines
- Skilled in organizing and maintaining a system for accurate and complete record-keeping - Participate in monthly meetings with School Relations Specialists to brainstorm new resource ideas, troubleshoot, share ideas from other therapists at staff meetings, etc.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay:
$38.00 - $52.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work
- Valid state license or certification as a LMSW. (Must be licensed in the State of Michigan)
Knowledge and Experience:
- At least 2 years experience in the field working with individuals, families and children
- Knowledge of special education law in regard to therapy services provided
Computer Skills:
- Google Drive (i.e docs, sheets, forms, slides, etc.)
- Zoom, Microsoft Teams, GoogleMeet
- Power Point
- Excel
Leadership/Management Experience/Capabilities:
- Strong ability to guide, direct, or influence people.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Ability to communicate effectively and positively with students, teachers, administrators, and parents
